About: Museum of Fine Arts of Seville

Second only to Madrid's prestigious Prado Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts of Seville is one of Spain's most important public art museums, boasting an immense collection of Romanesque and Baroque art and works from the best-known artists of the Golden Age of Sevillian painting. See works by Murillo, Zurbarán, Francisco de Herrera the Younger, and Valdés Leal, and pore over paintings by legendary Spanish artists like Goya, Velázquez, and El Greco.

The museum is located inside of a stunning 16th-century convent, the facade of which is very much an artwork itself. It was converted into a museum in 1839.
