Come and explore Jewish culinary traditions and customs. Taste your way through meals Jews have eaten throughout the ages while living in the diaspora, i.e. away from the historic Land of Israel. Learn how migrating Jews brought various dishes and products into the mainstream, from the Middle Ages to the great waves of migration in the 19th and 20th centuries, to America or to Israel.

Discover what potato pancakes have in common with "latkes", Polish "gołąbki" with "holishikes", how "chulent" is different from adafina and, last but not least, why the New York City pickled gherkins and borsht are considered Jewish food. You're bound to leave the "What’s Cooking?" exhibition hungry!

The exhibition is accompanied by four sculptures by artist Anna Królikiewicz, which serve as a metaphorical commentary on the narrative devoted to Jewish cuisine.
