According to the WHO and Unicef, more than two billion people do not have direct access to drinking water. The task of carrying provisions weighs heavily on women and girls. In addition, over the past decade, droughts and desertification have doubled or even tripled the distances to be covered. Through this exhibition, which reveals the spectacular burdens that weigh on them, the American photographer Lekha Singh pays tribute to the women of the world.
