Musée du Quai Branly Jacques Chirac proudly presents Power and Prestige: Art of Clubs in Oceania, a specially-curated display of weaponry-turned-cultural artifacts from the Oceanic nations, from Australia to Easter Island. The exhibition aims to highlight the sophistication of their carving, their intricate ornamentation, and the spiritual characteristics unique to each cultural subset that make these clubs more than just simple tools.
Through the Power and Prestige: Art of Clubs in Oceania exhibit, curators hope to dispel violence-only associations with these tools and to reveal sculpture, artistic merit, symbolism, and ceremonial divinity. Not only do these pieces hold cultural significance for the people of Oceania, but the exhibit will also feature the historic value of pieces designated as souvenirs, trophies, and ethnographic documents through the eyes of European settlers.

Suspended on a series of pillars, the Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac features a vertical garden on the Seine side and enormous multicolored blocks on another. And once inside the grounds, the horizontal garden is full of birds and plants, walkways and paths.
Inside the museum, it's an anthropological journey around the world via art and artifacts. The permanent collection reaches back as far as the Neolithic period, and spans Oceania, Asia, Africa and the America.
