The Aquarium du Grand Lyon, or the Aquarium of Lyon, is an aquarium that houses marine species from around the world, including multiple species of sharks. It is located on the west bank of the Rhône, south of the city.

The Château de Voltaire is located across the French and Swiss border in Ferney-Voltaire, France. It was built by the author between 1758 and 1766, and Voltaire spent the last twenty years of his remarkably productive life here.

Le Puy-en-Velay Cathedral sits supreme on the basalt rock of the town of Le Puy. As you climb the hills toward the cathedral you'll understand why countless pilgrims since the 4th century have come to worship the Virgin Mary in this very spot. The church itself was constructed mainly in the 12th century, but a number of works have been completed in the centuries since. Once inside you'll be able to appreciate Romanesque décor, and the beauty of the building's architecture.
