Shirakawa attractions

Shirakawa-gō Gasshō-zukurii Minka-en Outdoor Museum is home to more than 20 historic gasshō-zukurii houses and other structures that lost their owners due to village separation. They have been relocated to recreate the scenery of the small villages of Shirakawa-go in the past. Guests can see folk tools, discover how the homes were used for sericulture, and visit a preserved shrine, water mill, and a temple's main hall.
