Step back in time to when there was no electricity and all labor was done by hand. Two separate routes through the museum lead you past 160 old crafts, jobs and shops. There are daily demonstrations of crafts, from basket weaving and clock repair, to glass works and printing. Besides crafts you’ll find tons of toys here. Antique dolls, working toy trains, old children's tableware, Steiff teddy bears, and Meccano! The museum also offers plenty of fun scavenger hunts through the past for kids young and old. Inside there is an activity room for fun games and outside you’ll find an old Dutch games area.

The Pancake Boat, or Pannenkoekenboot Nijmegen, is located opposite the Holland Casino on the Waalkade, roughly five minute's walk from the Waalbrug.

The Botanische Tuinen Universiteit Utrecht, or Botanic Gardens Utrecht is home to almost 9000 species of plants and flowers, and boasts one of the best Rock Gardens in Europe. It's easy to reach from central Utrecht on public transport, or by car.

The Singer Laren Museum is an art gallery, theater, and exhibition space located in Laren, North Holland. The museum is roughly one hour east of Amsterdam when travelling by public transport.

The National Museum of the Netherlands, or the Rijksmuseum, has been housed on this location since 1885. It recently underwent a ten-year, €375 million renovation. The Rijksmuseum has over 5,000 paintings (including Rembrandt's Night Watch) and has an emphasis on the Dutch Golden Age. But it's not just paintings – there are sculptures, antiques, collections of clothing and weapons, and one of the finest actively-used libraries you'll ever see. The Dutch architect P.J.H. Cuypers designed this elegant building, and even put himself in the design as one of the statues on the roof.
