San Mamés Stadium, also known as La Catedral, is the home stadium of Spanish football team Athletic Club de Bilbao. The arena houses a state-of-the-art club museum, and behind-the-scenes tours run regularly throughout the year.

The Chillida Leku Museum is a unique art museum 10 minutes outside of San Sebastian. The museum consists first and foremost of the immense sculpture garden, where the monumental works of Basque sculptor Eduardo Chillida are displayed. Designed as a fusion between art and nature, the sculptures are integrated into the landscape as if they had always been part of it. The museum also features the Caserío Zabalaga, a restored 16th-century farmhouse where Chillida's smaller-scale works, and works too fragile to be housed outside, are displayed in rotating temporary exhibitions.

The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is an architectural triumph and is well known for being one of Bilbao's most beautiful buildings, inside and out. This museum of modern and contemporary art was designed by renowned Canadian-American architect, Frank Gehry, and is located in central Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain.

Itsasmuseum is a maritime museum in Bilbao, Spain. Built in 2003, it focuses on the maritime history of the region, conserving and exhibiting boats, ships and other examples of nautical heritage.

The Teatro Victoria Eugenia is located in the center of San Sebastián, and is one of the city's most iconic buildings.

Climbing the 241 steps of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe is no easy feat, but you'll be rewarded with incredible views as you make your way to a 1,000-year-old hermitage. Make sure to ring the bell at the top three times for good luck – in fact, you'll hear it chiming all day long! This small chapel was built in honor of John the Baptist to ensure the protection of sailors out in the perilous Bay of Biscay. It makes for an easy day-trip from Bilbao or San Sebastián and is located right off the Basque coastline.
