Built when he was just 31 years old, Gaudí's El Capricho is one of the early works of Catalonia's iconic architect and is one of the only buildings designed by Gaudí that is not located in Catalonia. Instead, this beautiful summer house is located in pastoral Cantabria, in northern Spain. The building is unmistakably Gaudí, but also shows clear Orientalist and Mudéjar influences, often seen in his early career. The house features an eye-catching Persian air minaret with a bold green, red, and gold color scheme. El Soplao Cave is a wonderland of speleology, with displays of stalactites, stalagmites, eccentrics, dog-tooth crystals, and more. Discovered at the beginning of the 20th century, the cavern is named after the blowing air that occurs when a tunnel with less oxygen perforates another. In addition to its geological value, the cave and its surroundings are home to an exceptional heritage of industrial mining archaeology, with more than 20 km of galleries.

Museum Centro Botín is a modern art museum located in Cantabrian city of Santander, Spain. The museum was designed by world-renowned architect Renzo Piano, and has gorgeous views of the Bay of Biscay.
