Open-Air Museum Ballenberg
Featuring over 100 authentic buildings from Switzerland's rich rural tradition, Open-Air Museum Ballenberg offers visitors a glimpse into the social and cultural history of the nation. Open since 1978, the museum represents some of the most important and typical forms of houses, farmsteads, and settlements in Switzerland. This large open-air museum also features displays of traditional craftsmanship including cheesemaking and bread baking, as well as a wide range of local farm animals (including some rare species).
