Alnwick attractions

Alnwick Castle, home of the Duke of Northumberland, attracts over 800,000 eager visitors every year. Once a royal fortress, Alnwick Castle has made numerous appearances in film and TV. Eagle-eyed visitors will recognize the castle and grounds from Blackadder, Robin Hood, Downton Abbey and, of course, Harry Potter - where the castle largely stood in for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry.
