Access to The Slide
  • Head up to the viewing platform at ArcelorMittal Orbit, the UK’s tallest sculpture at 114.5 meters tall!
  • Get incredible vistas of Central London, the 20 mile view is perfect for spotting the city's landmarks
  • Witness one of the most striking visual legacies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games of 2012

Face your fear of heights and head up to the viewing platform at ArcelorMittal Orbit, the UK’s tallest sculpture.

It was intended to be a lasting legacy from London's 2012 Olympics, and it's certainly served its purpose! From the top of the ArcelorMittal Orbit you'll be able to see 20 miles over the London skyline.

London's ArcelorMittal Orbit pierces the city sky like a giant Transformer mid-change. At 114.5 meters tall, it's the UK’s tallest sculpture and an attraction you'll definitely want to pencil into your Big Smoke sightseeing.

Designed by Turner Prize-winning artist Sir Anish Kapoor, the ArcelorMittal Orbit is so big that heading up it is not for the faint-hearted. It's six times the height of the Angel of the North in Tyne and Wear, 22 meters taller than the Statue of Liberty, and it weighs the same as 1,136 black cabs.

Enjoy a step-free journey to the two viewing platforms via the lift, then get ready for 455 steps back to ground level. The views you'll get of London from the ArcelorMittal Orbit are well worth the steps, though.
